Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Night in Spanish
Monday, October 10th, 2011Ever wanted to learn how to say these three phrases in Spanish and remember them FOREVER?!?!?!
Join us this week with some fun tips on learning good morning / buenos días, good afternoon / buenas tardes, and good night / buenas noches in both English and Spanish.
Follow this link to the words, the lyrics from my bilingual song for children that teaches all three greetings in both English and Spanish (look for song #6).
Then use this suggested circle time activity fun that goes hand-in-hand with our Boca Beth song called The Greeting Song / La canción de saludar:
Use sock puppets or any other puppets that could be used as a Mommy and a Daddy. Go around the circle of children, interacting with them and the mommy puppet during the mommy chorus and the daddy puppet during the daddy chorus. Have the children hug themselves when the choruse section of this song sings “I love you very much/Te quiero mucho.” Relate this to their own relationship with their family members – the hugs, the words of endearment.
Did you realize the many physical benefits associated with hugging? Using this song from my company (and incorporating the hugs during the chorus) allows children to feel more level during such challenging times, improves their immune system, decreases stress in all, and allows for children to give and get those much-needed HUGS!
