One Week to Go! Bilingual Fun Ahead!

Friday, April 12th, 2013

I am so fired up!  REALLY!  The most excited I have been in 2013!

Fast payday loans For Every One

Why???????

I am flying to Minneapolis, Minnesota one week from today to be the keynote for The Wright County Family Child Care Association Conference (follow this link to read more about this quality early childhood conference and register before they sell out).  The gal running things, Hollee, is a dynamo herself and has a reputation for putting together great trainers, delicious food that’s included in the registration price, fun exhibitors that relate to kids learning the fun way, and six hours of continuing education hours.

As if that’s not enough for Hollee to handle, she herself is a family child care provider AND helps design web sites for other family child care providers and small business owners.  Find her here on the web for more search engine optimization and web site assistance fun.

Last time I keynoted in this wonderful state I felt so very welcome AND met American Idol Danny Gokey at The Mall of America!  Here’s what those amigas had to say about my keynote and trainings on how to bring Spanish and English together for young children:

If you live in the area of Monticello I encourage you to register today, and then come up to me and say HOLA during the breaks or during the shopping time Hollee has carved out during this one day Conference which will be help April 20, 2013.

P.S.  Below is a short clip of me in action … maybe I could visit your early childhood or family child care conference next year?  I am only conducting one each year until our daughter enters high school!

Where is Boca Beth?

Wednesday, October 17th, 2012

I know this post has been a long time coming, but I wanted to wait until I had one NOPE Presentation under my belt before sharing with you all what the Lord has placed on my heart and in my life.

Follow this link to find out more about the National Organization and the many states already sharing this mission within their communities:  http://www.nopetaskforce.org/

In a nutshell, my family’s life has personally been touched by drug addiction, and when I came off the road as a keynote speaker in the Early Childhood Field via my Boca Beth Program, this calling to become involved with NOPE of Hillsborough County and become a moderator with our school presentations tugged at my heart hard!

I will be selling out of all my hard products (meaning all puppets, CDs, DVDs, coloring books and such) while I search for a curriculum company whose leaders wish to use my bilingual songs and license them from me.  This will most likely be my last Christmas of selling Boca Beth music CDs, DVDs, and gift sets.  Plus I have one training (Pasco County) and one Keynote (Minnesota) left to share.

It’s been a wonderful journey … both as an educator, an entrepreneur, a mom-owned business owner, and an amiga to so many people I have met along my Boca Beth Journey.

The Heavenly Father wants more from me, and I am poised to provide just that.  Sharing the message of NOPE is how I pray that I will make a difference in the lives of many, many students sitting in our auditoriums during our one-hour school presentations.

Thank you for being my friends.  I will continue to blog about winding things up.  And if any of you know of a company looking to have our 50 bilingual songs for children to use in their curriculum, please let me know and/or give them my contact information.

Casual Greetings in Spanish and English

Friday, September 21st, 2012

This is one of my FAVORITE bilingual music videos we have made over the past 10 years of sharing our Boca Beth bilingual program for children to learn both English and Spanish.  It’s quirky, includes lots of children in the shots and helps kids of all ages learn some Spanish and English vocabulary.

Now try this for some more ways to greet your friends and family in Spanish (the lips don’t always match the  voice but still cute!):

Buenos Dias, Bebe! / Good Morning, Baby! (Soft-to-Touch Books) (Spanish and English Edition)This book can be found for only $1.24 USED on Amazon.com … order a bunch of bilingual children’s books at one time and save on shipping.

How about a cool bilingual laptop for that sweet little one in your life?  It seems like a very good price for this type of learning tool.  Bilingual education made fun!  Click here to learn more about it.

Hope the start to your traditional or homeschool academic school year is going fine / muy bien.  Stay tuned for more Boca Beth bilingual learning fun tips as we move through the end of 2012.

Check out these kids – super enthusiastic about shouting out opposites in Spanish / español!

Kids Learn Opposites in Two Languages

Tuesday, September 4th, 2012

More than 120 first graders learned their opposites in both English and Spanish using our Boca Beth bilingual song titled Opposites / Los opuestos.  Now you can learn even More Opposites / Más opuestos with our featured song and themed lesson fun for this week.

Find the suggested circle time activity to do with the more opposites song below:

This opposite song encourages lots of movement and bilingual learning. Sway dance is the dance of choice here with the chorus section – then the children act out the opposites as they are sung in English and Spanish. The children love acting out long & short, hot & cold, slow & fast and then open & closed. Lots of opportunities to sing, dance and play in this one.

Here are the words to our Boca Beth song where children learn about the shape of a star / estrella and more:

“More Shapes”

(sung to tune of “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow”)
Diamond is diamante

Diamond is diamante

Diamond is diamante

I know my shapes.
Diamante es diamond

Diamante es diamond

Diamante es diamond

Yo se mis formas.
Star is estrella

Star is estrella

Star is estrella

I know my shapes.

Estrella es star

Estrella es star

Estrella es star

Yo se mis formas.
Heart is corazón

Heart is corazón

Heart is corazón

I know my shapes.
Corazón es heart

Corazón es heart

Corazón es heart

Yo se mis formas.

See you later this week for more fun!
