Putting the 'Christ' Back in Christmas
So often we are told to be politically correct.
Too often we are reminded to choose our words carefully around this time of year.
Thank you Pastor Willy Rice for reminding all of us who heard your sermon this morning, that be you a Jew or be you a Christian, be you a believer or be you a non-believer, the day of Christmas is undeniably a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God.
I thank God that I have the ability to pen these words, to listen to the birds off our lake each morning as I rise to greet my three healthy and (most-often-times!) happy children and begin a new day with Jesus at my side.
May we all be reminded that we soon will celebrate the gift that God gives each of us – his son Jesus Christ and the chance to enjoy a relationship with God through his son. It is our individual choice to open this gift (as Pastor so eloquently explained this morning) and experience the forgiveness of our sins and a life that is rich with the presence of God.
Enjoying God’s Grace and Love –
