Learning a Second Language with Music ROCKS!

I love learning things to music!

I love teaching with music!

Later this week I will share our bilingual Hola & Adiós / Hello & Goodbye song via a new video from my company, but in the meantime I thought I would share this one (which then sparks a debate among many!).

From canciones infantiles (songs for the young) comes a very catchy, upbeat song (below in the YouTube video).  The only problem for many children and adults is that this song is sung in Spanish only which makes the language acquisition challenging.

I know!  I know!  Many schools of thought say presenting the languages in a bilingual format such as the one we use at Boca Beth is like translation for the child, and he will always depend on that as a crutch!

Listen in, then tell me what you think about being able to learn from this.  I am curious to hear your opinion on the topic of the best way to present a new language to a young child.  Using immersion only or using both native and new language side by side…

See you later this week with my new Boca Beth YouTube video that helps little kids learn Spanish and English the fun way!

Happy Educating!  ¡Sea feliz educando!
