Elementary School Children Sing Bilingual Songs for Parents

Every spring Plumb Elementary School in Clearwater, Florida puts on a Bringing Spanish to Life! program for the entire first grade class and their families.  Last night was this year’s rewarding and touching performance.

Young children sing Me gusta contar/I Like to Count

I can’t tell you how breathtaking it is when the curtains open and there stands 140+ first grade children all smiling and dressed in their Boca Beth t-shirts (each class with a different colored shirt!).  It brings tears to my eyes.

They sang their little lungs out, did their cute little motions their teachers taught them, and the parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas cheered with a unified cheer!  I once again was amazed at how quickly they learned Spanish in order to sing 13 songs featuring their new language of choice.

Thank you Plumb Elementary School first grade team, administration and staff for making my Boca Beth bilingual music come to life on stage with such wonderful enthusiasm.  I am the one who is truly blessed.

Happy Educating!  ¡Sea feliz educando!

Amazing! Is the best word I can use to descibe the performance the children put on for the us last week at the Boca Beth propram. My first grade son has learned so much and has been singing the wonderful spanish songs for the past 2 months! I think the whole family knows them now! It has been wonderful having that experience brought to him. I hope the first grade team continues with the Boca Beth program as I want my 3 year old to have that same awesome experience when he gets to first grade. Thank you so much for supplying them with wonderful tools, techniques and skills to help children learn another language. It is priceless!

  2. Wow! I just can’t imagine what to feel if I witness the play and one of my kids is presenting too. This could be surely one of the best moments of my life that I won’t surely forget.

It’s always so rewarding witnessing our children growing, learning, and becoming part of this journey on Earth.
