Make it an amazing week ahead, and enjoy this fun bilingual song from our Boca Beth Programand my amiga from a Kindergarten Class at Lowry Elementary in Tampa, Florida.
Wondering what time it is? Well, in Boca Beth land, it’s time to tell young children about telling time in Spanish/Español and in English/Inglés. Use this fun Boca Beth bilingual song below titled What Time is it? / ¿ Qué hora es ? to bring these two languages together in your life today!
We provide many FREE resources to bring Spanish to life for little ones on our web site 24/7!
Too cool when the postal carrier for our neighborhood walked to the front door this week with an unbendable, oversized envelope from The White House!!!
I have been in contact with Barack Obama, his daughters Malia and Sasha, his wife Michelle, and his new Education lead/go-to guy, Arne Duncan. I have shared with them our Boca Beth Backpack Setfull of fun and easy to use bilingual CDs, DVDs, language learning book, puppet BOCA and maracas.
I have informed them of how we here at the Boca Beth Program make it fun and easy to introduce Spanish right alongside English with music and movement for every monolingual and bilingual parent, teacher, caregiver.
My autographed picture of Michelle Obama – our First Lady of the United States of America
The letter she sent (okay! okay! I know she did not send it personally, but it’s the thought that counts!) is so nicely written and on official, embossed White House stationery….I am planning on having it framed!
Thank you First Lady Michelle Obama. You made my day! You made my week!

Me gusta contar/I Like To Count (Off the first Boca Beth CD)Ask the children if they remember how to count from 1 to 10 in English. Count together using your fingers for visual aides. Then ask if anyone knows how to count from uno a diez (or desde diez) in Spanish and count together again. Have each child take a musical instrument, tell them we will be counting from 1 to 10 in Español e Inglés/Spanish and English, dancing in a circle/circulo and have them follow you, the teacher, around in a dancing circle to sing the song. When it comes time in the song after ten or diez I ask the children to “STOP” “PARA” and make noise/hace ruido until the words begin again. It’s a conga line for counting and the children and adults love the bilingual fun!
I finally let the little guy have his way on Cinco de Mayo!
I took BOCA to our local TARGET store and let him share some Latin American goodies with the staff and even shake his little top feather in celebration of Cinco de Mayo today!
Sounds crazy?
It’s not … BOCA and I continue to dream of our fun Boca Beth bilingual CDs and DVDslanding in the Early Learning/Little People section of the TARGET toy area some day soon.
Dreams are great!
Goals are good!
Anyone know the way to theirTARGET store? WE DO!!!!
Chocolate (Click the word chocolate to play the song!)
Who doesn’t love this traditional Latin American song titled Chocolate (which is spelled exactly the same in English as it is in Spanish – just pronounced differently my friends!).
So enjoy our Boca Beth bilingual version of this fun song and mix up some chocolate for tomorrow’s celebration of Cinco de Mayo!
It’s our new tradition here at Boca Beth in Tampa, Florida! Each Friday we have a theme, and today I want to help you get ready for Cinco de Mayo that is coming up this Tuesday/martes!
E-mail me for your Fiesta Fun Sheet – it’s something I used to provide parents who booked me to entertain during their child’s birthday party! Some cute food ideas, craft ideas and more for a Fiesta Theme that will fit in nicely with any Cinco de Mayo Celebration. E-mail me at BocaBeth@msn.com, and I will send you the sheet (put Fiesta in your subject line please).
The crowd moves and grooves with bilingual song from Boca Beth
I know my fellow teachers from the National Head Start Conferencewhere I just presented two dynamic workshops on how to bring Spanish and English together for little children ages birth – five will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo in their classrooms! Thanks Head Start for all of the fun, the connections and the interested attendees!
