Thank you editors of Tot Trends and Kids Trends for wanting to share my passion for second language learning with the young children of our world.

It really helps to have people in the media notice you when you are a small entrepreneur (in the scheme of the big guys out there!!!!) with very little money to advertise and market with.  So when someone who writes for and works with a publication like Tot Trends and Kids Trends  notices you and your product, you are beaming with pride.

We all need mentors.

I keep looking for amazing ones.

I might have found mine in both Mel Robbins of Make it Happen that streams live every Monday-Friday via BordersMedia.com.  (Click here to visit Mel Robbins web site that then leads to her radio show on Borders.)

I had reached out for her after being on the Donny Deutsch show called The Big Idea.  She then invited me on her radio show and decided an introduction to David Perez of Latin Force was in order.  David not only has started many companies himself, he has been instrumental in driving some of the biggest brands in our country into the homes of Latinos and Latinas.  Learn more about his dynamic company called Latin Force by clicking here.

I recall giving an inspirational keynote a couple years back with the theme of the evening for these early childhood care providers being An Evening with the Stars (inferring that each of them was a star!!!).  I love motivating, inspiring others……………..yet tonight the inspiration will be provided by Mel Robbins and Donny Deutsch.

Mel Robbins has a dynamic radio show that streams live between 1 pm and 3 pm EST daily here at BordersMedia.com.  She was on Donny’s show The Big Idea a couple weeks back, was amazing, and I reached out for her and – unlike many in today’s busy world – she reached back!  Check out her site, her background and get ready to get pumped up (this link will lead you to her web site where you can sign up for her e-mails).

Then there is Donny – week nights on CNBC with his show titled The Big Idea.  He gives all of us entrepreneurs a kick in the butt every night we tune in, and tonight should be a great one!  Donny has a blog, and if you have an inkling of starting your own company then I suggest you click right here to read it!

WOW!!!!!!!!!

Double WOW!!!!!!!!

I fly in from Kentucky after being away for three and a half days to conduct Head Start Training with the Jefferson County Schools Early Head Start / Jump Start Program.  I arrived back at Tampa International Airport around 12 noon today, do a live event at the Upper Tampa Bay Public Library in Westchase Area and finally get to my home office for my Boca Beth Program to fill orders.

I hop in the car with the orders to get to the post office by 6 pm and hear Jayar of The Joy FM talking about a listener’s son who is having a birthday and how he would like to share this cool song………….and all of a sudden I hear my Boca Beth Happy Birthday / Feliz cumpleaños  rendition!!!!!!!!!!!  I was so thrilled and so proud and so touched!!!

Now THIS is FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know some day I will look back on this moment and laugh my butt off…..however, being up at 4:00am for a puppy is not helping my marriage, my business nor my overall psyche!

And, not only am I sleep-deprived by our new little addition (whose name is innocently deceiving – Maddie!!!!), soon we will be on food stamps thanks to the little gal’s appetite!

You see, we found out from Dr. Twilla of Sunshine Animal Hospital (again, a very deceiving HAPPY NEWS name!!!) that our little rescue mutt is not 5.5 weeks old, she is actually 10 weeks old.  Maddie is NOT just a mix of terrier and something else that will result in a SMALL breed (as the rescue web site’s listing read).  She IS however a mix of American Pit Bull Terrier and Boxer and will most likely reach 35-50 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After I pick myself up off the floor from shock I will share pictures soon!

Live events, outside, the first part of June, sweltering heat and humidity!

NOT!!!

Oh…..don’t get me wrong.  The children, their moms and my daughter and her friend who helped me out this past weekend with our Boca Beth bilingual music and movement fun had a blast!  I think it was me, the gal jumpin’ around like a teenage engaging the preschool age children and beyond with her song and dance routine in Spanish and English, who walked away thinking, “Did I just do that for real in this heat?!?!?!?”

We have one more June 14th, and then I am going to have to pass……………….I think I will stick to indoor, air conditioned venue thank you/gracias.
